Belrose worked hard to get through in the Somerset Intermediate Cup, beating Crewkerne Rangers, 3–2 after extra time. Last week’s reporter was given the wrong Timsbury Reserves scoreline, the correct one being Timsbury Reserves 4, Watchet Reserves 1, so the League now has eight teams through to last sixteen in this competition.

In the Premier Division, leaders Coleford at home fell over the line against bottom team, Welton Arsenal, who were winning 1–0 until the 80th minute. The home team managed two goals through Nick Young and Luke Litterick in the last ten minutes, winning 2–1. Frome Collegians lost pace with the leaders losing at home to Westfield Reserves, whose scorers were Hucker, (two, one penalty) and an own goal.

Victoria are equal, top of the First Division after beating Chilcompton Reserves 3–1. Scoring for the home side were Craig Chant and substitutes, Jon Hampton and Rob Turner. Chew Magna Reserves stay fourth, winning at home to Pilton, 5–2.

The Second Division saw Peasedown Albion take revenge against Bath Villa after losing to them in the cup last week. They went to Odd Down playing fields and won 5–1, with goals coming from Dan Hucker (2), Dan Mitchell, Tom Pielesz and substitue, Louis Diegutis. Top team Somer Valley won at home against a very young Mells side, 6–1. Amongst the goals were Jon West-Gaul (3), Dean Haley (2) and Ben Teal. Westhill Reserves beat bottom team, Glastonbury Reserves at home, 5–2. Scorers were Max Rogers (2) and substitutes, Peter Willus (2) and Lee Paterson. Pensford at home played out a 2–2 draw with Coleford Reserves. Scorers were Jordon Philips and Daniel Willis, also Frome Town Sports drew 0–0 with Saltford Reserves.

In the Third Division, Old Crown consolidated their second place position in the league with a good 3–2 away win at Purnells A, with Lee Rowlands and George Denning netting for the home team. Timsbury Reserves drew another game away to Wessex, 4–4 and move up to fifth in the league, and Westfield A played out a 4–4 draw with Farrington, whose scorers were Darren Whitfield (3) and a penalty by Liam Gibbs.

Fellow Third Division side, Chilcompton United, put up a great fight in the Paulton Hospital Cup against Premier team, Purnell Reserves after going behind in the first minute to a Dan Mott strike – this goal proved to be the only goal of the game.

In the Dimmock Green KO Cup, Meadow Rangers had a great win at home to second placed team in the Premier League, Interhound. There were goals from Chris Phylips and Danny Chiswell giving the home team a 2–1 win.

Baltonsborough secured a fine win against another Premier League team, Temple Cloud, 3–1, with goals from Tom Westlake, Dean Perry and Russ Tucker.
