It was Semi-final Saturday in the Mid-Somerset League’s Baxter Shield last weekend. Timsbury Reserves are having a really good season, but found the excellent Bath Villa team too good for them, losing 6–0. Villa scorers saw a hat-trick from Lee Rudland, with other goals from Lewis Hunt, Tom Lewington and Cain Robinson.

In the other Semi-final, Coleford Reserves beat Peasedown Albion Reserves 3–2, with goals coming from Jamie Olding, Liam Sweenie, with a long range shot and Mac Fisher for the home side and Henry Steeds and Tom Pielesz replying for the visitors.

Referee, Paul Davison, had a superb game, with the final on Friday, March 24th, 7.30 p.m. at Radstock Town.

Coleford, leaders of the Premier Division, had to dig deep at Radstock A. They were a goal down with fifteen minutes to go, but managed to rescue the points with goals from Luke Litterick and Jack Davis, winning 2–1. Westfield Reserves consolidated their runners-up position with a 5–0 win away to Mells.

In the Second Division, Peasedown Albion took a massive step towards the league title, beating second placed Somer Valley 2–0 at home, but it was a closely-fought affair, with the visitors having to endure two bad injuries, but still created several good chances. Frome Town Sports Reserves had a good home win against Westhill Sports Reserves, 3–0.

In the Charity Cup, Welton Arsenal at home needed to win in the penalty shoot-out to get past a spirited Evercreech team and Saltford Reserves fell over the line away to Meadow 3–2. Westhill won 4–3 away to Wessex.

The Moorland Cup saw Mells Reserves travel to Pensford Reserves and won 3–1. Chew Reserves, at home in the Clark Cup, beat High Littleton 4–1 and Belrose went away to Pilton United and won 3–1. Frome Collegians will play Victoria Sports in the Semi-final of the Dimmock Green KO Cup after a hard fought game at home to

Baltonsborough, winning 4–3.

Purnell A is in the Semi-final of the Wilmott Cup after beating Pilton Reserves at home, 2–1. Chilcompton Reserves progress in the Clark Cup, winning away at Clutton, 5–1. Bryn Hawkins
