Timsbury visited local rivals, Welton Rovers Reserves, in Division One East of the Somerset Senior League where they ran out worthy winners.

Early exchanges suggested that this would be a hard-fought game, with both sides looking to attack, but in fact, very quickly became a one-sided affair. Timsbury took the lead after seven minutes with their first real attempt on goal when the ball fell to Craze on the edge of the box, who smashed a left foot shot high into the roof of the net, giving Welton keeper, Shearing, no chance.

Timsbury were then unlucky not to increase their lead from Dowling who shot wide when well placed and then Ellis Hancock forced a fine save from Shearing to stop a certain goal. After twenty minutes, Welton levelled the score when a speculative cross from deep on the left hand side was met by the boot of Dando, who beat Ward to the ball and volleyed past Ben Hancock in the Timsbury goal. This spurred Timsbury’s young side into action and within ten minutes, the home side conceded three quick goals from a blend of speed and fine passing to effectively end the match as a contest.

Firstly, Ward found the net after the ball bounced kindly from a corner, then within minutes, Hailston cut in from the right wing, beating the fullback before shooting into the far corner and finally, good work again from Hailston, who laid the ball off to Craze to fire home his second of the match.

With the visitors now 4–1 ahead, they brought on young Toby Neilson, who duly continued to terrorise the home defence. Within five minutes of the restart, a deep cross from Taylor was met by the head of Ellis Hancock, who made no mistake in scoring the fifth. Then, after great work from Neilson on the right, he found Haiston free to cross to the far post for the unmarked Craze to complete his hat-trick.

Timsbury continued to press and after good tackling from Gordon-Hallet in the middle of the park, the ball fell to Ellis Hancock, who shot from 25 yards, giving the keeper no chance. With fifteen minutes remaining, Hancock completed his hat-trick when he bundled the ball home from another corner, making the final score 8–1 to the visitors.
