Timsbury gave another polished performance to record a fine 4–0 victory away at Keynsham Reserves in Division One East of the Somerset Senior League, although the final scoreline was a little harsh on the home team.

Timsbury made an ideal start to the match when in the first minute a cross from the right by Nix fell to the feet of Ellis Hancock in the eighteen yard box, who controlled the ball neatly before finding the bottom corner of the net with a right foot shot to make it 1–0.

Minutes later, Parker tried to increase the lead, but his shot was well saved by Jackson in the home goal. Keynsham were thankful to Jackson again when, with Timsbury’s next attack, Hancock found himself through on goal, only to be thwarted by his outstretched leg.

Undeterred, Keynsham battled to get back into the game, with full back, Sealey, constantly putting pressure on the Timsbury defence with his forward runs, and they were unlucky not to get back on even terms after twenty minutes when the ball ended up in the goal from Crew, only to be ruled offside.

Dowling went close when his shot found the side netting, but after fine work by Hancock, who held the ball up well and passed to the left, Parker went one better as his shot flew into the far corner, giving Jackson no chance and making it 2–0.

Keynsham came out strongly after the break and Simpson-Jarmin was unlucky to see his goal-bound header cleared off the line by Nix. Timsbury responded immediately when a fine run and shot from Dowling was only parried to the feet of Blannin, who, with his back to the goal, managed to swivel and stab the ball home to make it 3–0. Simpson-Jarmin had a fine shot from 25 yards tipped around the post by Hamilton, who also denied Turner from close range.

Even though both sides were trying to play attractive football on a perfect surface, few other chances were created until the dying minutes, when firstly, a shot from Blannin was turned around the post, then after a fine run, Blannin laid the ball through to Curtis to run clear, who, with an audacious chip, left the keeper helpless before seeing his shot nestle in the back of the net to make the final score 4–0.
