Chilcompton U9s are desperately searching for a new Coach so that they can continue to play.
Chilcompton Under-9s lost their previous Coach due to work commitments and need a replacement as soon as possible, otherwise the team will have to disband. The team comprises of seven local players, all in Year 4, who are keen to improve their skills and do well in local matches. The team meet for training twice a week in Chilcompton and matches are typically held on Sunday mornings in the local area.
Chilcompton Under-9s need an FA Coaching Level One or above qualified Coach, or someone who is willing and able to undertake the FA coaching course. This would be a voluntary role, but there is funding to help towards the cost of the course.
Parent, Hayley Blanning, said: “We have a really dedicated team and it would be such a shame to fold if we can’t find a new coach. Ideally, we would love another two or three players to join our team, so the coaching job would be perfect for someone with a child or children the right age so they can get involved together. However, we would welcome anyone as long as they are qualified or keen to undertake the coaching course.”
