WELLINGTON produced the shock of the season in the Premier Division of the Jewson Western Football League by beating title-chasing and championship favourites Torpint Athletic 4-1 away in mid-week.
Having lost 3-0 at home to the Cornish side earlier in the season, Wellington travelled with an injury-hit squad - but stunned the home side in front of a 600-plus gate.
It meant Torpoint, who had to win the game - a draw would not have been enough - finished a point behind new champions Barnstaple Town, with Paulton Rovers a point further back in third place.
It left Torpoint, Paulton, Clevedon Town and Sidmouth Town all involved in the end of season play-offs. Clevedon would have finished runners-up had they not had six points deducted.
At the bottom of the table, no side will be relegated because AFC St Austell and Nailsea and Tickenham pulled out of the league earlier in the season.
