With social matches now over for the year, the Seniors' section of Fosseway Golf Club look to the Winter League and the Monthly Medal for competitive action. The Winter League is divided into four leagues with the top two in each section going through to the later stages of the competition in 2013. Quickest out of the blocks have been Mike Ricketts, John Williams and Brian Phelps who have each won two of their early matches.
Fixture Secretary, Howard Nowell, won his first ever medal competition when he came out on top in the October event. His nett score of 64 saw him beat George Underwood by one shot. In third place, with a nett score of 67, was Geoff Broadway whose back nine proved vital.
