Beachcombers Reg Curtis and Bill Lester picked up the single point whilst the pairings of Button and Rowell, Bruce and Blacker,White and Reeves, Moon and Nowell and Fitch andWighton were mere flotsam and jetsom. The early season fixture at the 'Westfield Arboretum' had seen Fosseway record a 4–2 victory but the aggregate score of 7–5 ensured Brean retained the Fossebrean Trophy.
