Nine-year-old competitive go-karter, George Walker, has received an extra boost to his
training, thanks to sponsorship from Midsomer Norton garage owner, Dave Fowler.
George, who has been racing competitively across the region for a year-and-a-half, is a member of the Zip South West team and has high hopes of becoming a champion in his field before moving into other motor sports. During the past eighteen months, he has picked up a number of accolades, including Best Novice and Novice of the Year, as well as an Endurance Award from the Motor Sport Association. He has hopes of following in the footsteps of his father, John, a former racing partner of
Jenson Button’s, aiming to eventually work towards Grant Motor Sport racing.
While John’s motorsport days are behind him, his daughter, alongside George, is also a keen racer. With this additional sponsorship from the garage, nine-year-old George is yet another step closer to achieving his dreams.
