John Bendle can do no wrong at the moment in the Seniors section of Fosseway Golf Club and he emphasised the fact in the July Medal when he won the event with an eye catching nett score of 55.
Another of the form players, Captain John Appleton, was equally impressive, with a score of 57 which would normally have been more than enough to collect the medal. Frank Reeves was third with a nett score of 66.
Bendle was at it again in the pairs event for the Fouracres Trophy, coming in first again alongside John Waters with a joint nett score of 131. Another of the fancied pairings, Phil Moody and Pat Cray were just one shot behind in second place with Gerry Rowell and Nick Foxwell third on 136.
