The day dawned bright and sunny for the Wells Golf Club Captains’

Hamilton on becoming the Captain for 2021 and wished him good luck in the role. Graham Bingham was welcomed as Seniors’ Captain, Erica Klim as Ladies’ Captain and Abby Gray as Juniors’ Captain.

The rain was much lighter than expected for the Seniors’ Stableford and a large number of players braved the slippery conditions. There was only one temporary green on the fourth, and judging by many scores, people found it very demanding.

Results – Division 1: (0-18) 1st Tim Taylor with an excellent 42 points, 2nd Dave Hayward 36 points, 3rd Nick Wilson 34 points. Division 2 (19 plus): 1st Alan Hayes, 33 points, 2nd Roy Elliott 32 points C/B, 3rd Cliff Hopkins 32 points. There were two 2 spots: Tim Taylor and Roy Elliott – well done to them.
