Seventy-two men played the Christmas Stableford in difficult conditions underfoot but with quite lovely weather. Thanks to our great Greens Team staff at Wells Golf Club for making the course playable.

There were 13 twos from Martin Barnes (x2), Steve Barrow, George Barrow Stacey, Jon Cox, Richard Gould, Aidan Guy, Cliff Hopkins, Richard Sheard, Peter Michell, Dale Killey and Martin Pugh (x2).

Results in Division One: (Scratch to 13) were closely tied: 1st Nigel Pring 39 points, 2nd Simon Jackson 38 points, 3rd Gary Nutt 38 points, 4th Josh Berkeley 38 points.

Division Two (14 to 18) saw Cliff Hopkins first with 40 points, second Steve Clark 35 points, third Mike Magrath 34 points and fourth Richard Birch, with 33 points.

Scores in Division Three (19 and over) were similarly high: 1st John Sheppard 41 points, 2nd Nick Gumm 37 points, 3rd Guy Timson 37 points.
