An extremely cold and frosty morning was our introduction to the final month of 2019.
Where has the year gone? The older we get, the quicker it goes; not something to look forward to! The only thing now is Christmas and .... oh yes, that ‘election thing’ on the 12th December. Now, will that be something to look forward to, I ask myself?
The funeral of John Richardson, who had been a member at Farrington for almost twenty years, took place last week, and representatives from Farrington staff, Ladies’ and
Seniors’ Sections were there to pay their respects. John was a lovely, well-respected man, who everyone warmed to and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Results of the Texas Scramble, with an outstanding score of 52, were the trio of Captain, Rick Clark, Mel Field and Handicap Secretary, Roger Stone, who is busy sharpening his pencil as I type! A handicap review is imminent. Runners-up on 53.5 were Colin Glibbery, Steve Banfield and Mike ‘Legs’ Mahoney, with Mike Bradbury, Steve Gay and Roy Matthews a further two points adrift.
