The playing of a Monthly Medal brings with it an air of inevitability which is not apparent when playing a Stableford competition. You have to count and record every shot and realise very quickly that you have insufficient digits to do so! Socks off – get counting!

With 65 Seniors taking part, the overall winner was John Palmer with an excellent round of net 64 and getting a two shot handicap reduction for his troubles.

Mr Consistency, Steve Hobbs, won Division One with a net 71 from Seniors’ Captain, Alan Skivington a couple of shots behind on 73.

Division Two was won by Mike Hedges, purportedly playing his 15th game in four days, or so it seems! Beating Kirk Bizley on countback with a net 70.

Division Three, as mentioned, was won by JP with Mike Mahoney six shots adrift on net 70.

In the Friendly matches we beat Saltford on their patch 4.5 to 2.5 and wound up our home fixtures with a fine 5.5 to 0.5 win against Cumberwell and in doing so, remained unbeaten at home this season.
