There was a scarcity of low-scoring when the Seniors’ section of Fosseway Golf Club held its October medal event, but the course held no perils for Bob Smith, whose nett total of 64 saw him the clear winner.
Three shots behind came Phil Moody, who returned to form with a nett-67, while Cyril Blacker continued his good run with a nett-68 to finish third.
The Winter League is now well under way, with the annual Seniors’ Turkey Trot, scheduled for Thursday, 8th November. Members are also being reminded to book their place for the Presentation Lunch, which takes place on Sunday, 18th November.
