The course has definitely been the winner in the last two competitions held by Fosseway Golf Club Seniors, with a series of poor scores.

In the Eric James Cup Bogey Competition, where all nett birdies get a Plus and each bogey a Minus with a nett par counting as zero, the winner, John

Bendle, was the only player to record a positive score. John’s +2 saw him finish four shots clear of Henry Thomas and John Waters, who each had -2, with Thomas second-place on countback.

The September medal was also notable for its lack of inspired golf. Captain Gerry Rowell was the only player to come in with a nett score of less than 70. Gerry’s total of 68 saw him two shots ahead of Mike Ricketts, with Cyril Blacker third on 72.
