On Thursday, 24th October, Fosseway Seniors will be taking part in a special Poppy Appeal D-Day 75th Anniversary Golf Day organised by Competition Secretary, Doug Lane, in conjunction with The Royal British Legion.
At present, over thirty members have committed to the day. All proceeds from entry fees and raffle monies will be donated to The Royal British Legion.
The October medal event was a triumph for one of the Seniors’ most recent recruits. Brian Fear recorded an excellent nett score of 60, which saw him finish a clear six shots ahead of Seniors’ Captain, Gerry Rowell. Allen Cheney was a further shot behind with a nett-67.
