Orchardleigh Golf Club has this year raised a fantastic amount for their nominated charity Dorothy House, so Steph Cox came to the clubhouse recently to receive a cheque for £8,118.49.

The funds have been raised throughout the year by putting on various golfing events, quiz nights and raffles, together with donations. The Ladies section raised £3,000, and the remaining £5,118.49 by the Men and Senior sections.

The Ladies section held their annual Christmas lunch on Tuesday, 12th December at the clubhouse, attended by around forty members and guests. The Ladies started with some fun games and quizzes, followed by a short, but very amusing show put on by fellow members, Molly Carey, Sheila Goodbody and Lin Handley.

To end the festivities, the outgoing Ladies’ Captain, Marion Underhill, presented the trophies to the following 2017 prize winners:
