John Waters continued his impressive form in the Seniors section of Fosseway Golf Club when he won the inaugural Over-75’s nine hole Stableford event with 22 points.
Competition Secretary, Brian Phelps, missed a great chance to take the title, compiling just one point from the last two holes to finish second on twenty points, beating off the challenge of third-placed Gerry Rowell on countback.
Two days later, the Committee Cup Greensomes competition was won by Mike Lester-Card and Pat Cray. Their nett total of 55 saw them finish two shots clear of Allen Cheney and Geoff Hallett, with Bill Lester and Denis White third on 59. Malcolm Tucker
