One hundred and two competitors took part in the Turkey Trot 3 ball Bowmaker event. With the course now playing that much longer after the recent rains, scoring was modest.

Winning with 75 points were Spencer Pocock/Philip Leadbeater/Rob Cook, and in 2nd place Charlie Pike/Jeremy Lawrence/Paul Taylor with 74 points, beating on countback Colin Wiltshire/Trevor Messenger/Simon Jefferies.

The Mixed Social winter season got under way in blustery conditions with some heavy showers, and saw a win for Chris and Simon Atkinson with 42 points, followed by Pippa Brown and Clive Copp with 39 points and Martin Osborne and Jinhee Page in third with 38 points.

Nearest the Pin this week went to Andy Humphries with Alan Kay second and Paul Jamieson third.

The Seniors held a 3 Clubs and a Putter event which took place on a dry day but with a stiff breeze.

Despite the recent wet weather, the course was in fine order, with the greens in particular playing fairly quick and true.

The limited club choice made scoring that much harder, and only 17 of the 81 entrants scored 30 or better. Division one was won by Gary Holister with 34 points after countback from Nigel Cheshire, with Brian Smith third with 33. Division two went to Nigel Jarvis with 34 points, John Treeby was second with 33 after countback from Andy Parfitt.

The Veterans Division was won by Tony Williams with 33 points, Alan Williams was second with 32 and Brian Francis was third with 30.
