The Wells Ladies Friendly Team won 3–2 against Lansdown in their third friendly of the season, keeping their season results without defeat so far. There were wins for Tina Davies and Pauline Garrett, Cath Levell and Julie Blunden, Doreen Douglas and Diane Ramsay.

Wells Seniors hosted Farrington Park at Wells. The course was in excellent condition with good weather. Wells won the event 5–2. Two matches were halved, George West and Len Sweales won on the last hole, but Ken Ford and George White lost on the last. John Watson, refreshed from his holiday, had an outstanding day. A par on the third having hit a poor drive, pars on the sixth and eighth, with a birdie 2 on the tenth. With help from his partner, Dave Hayward, their match was won.

The Karen Nicholls Foursomes Cup was played in very warm conditions. Despite having a setback on the 18th, Sue Wells and Tina Davies won the best gross cup, with Sue Slade and Kathy Lane taking the best nett cup.

After a 4–10 points loss in the Ladies Alliance match versus Clevedon, with Tina Davies and Glynis Slater winning their games, the team fared better against Mendip B when the result was 11–3. Glynis Slater, Sue Wells, Sandy Heath and Sue Hockey recorded wins.

Jill Bocquet and Janice White celebrated a win in their second round match against Filton in the Bristol and District Handicap Foursomes. After a good start, the pair were always ahead and finished the match 3 and 2.
