Congratulations goes to Loes de Kleuver for winning the Orchardleigh Golf Club Ladies’ Championship.
The competition took place over two days; Saturday 24th and Sunday, 25th July in not perfect weather conditions, considering the hot spell the week before, but that didn’t stop some good play from the ladies.
After the first day, Loes de Kleuver was two shots ahead of Anne Regler. In the second round, Anne had a good back nine hoping to catch Loes, but she managed to gain another two shots on Anne giving her an overall lead of four shots.
So Loes de Kleuver won the championship with a total gross score of 173 against Anne Regler in second place with 177 and Sarah Hynds in third place with 183.
The prize winners of the Ladies’ Club Championship are as follows: Ladies Champion (Harris Trophy) Loes de Kleuver; Runner-up (Claret Jug) Anne Regler; third place (‘New’ Cup) Sarah Hynds. Second Division Gross Overall Winner, (Louis Goblet) Christine Arnold; Runner-up – Sue Chalker. First Division Nett Overall Winner (Wilder Cup) Loes de Kleuver; Runner-up – Anne Regler.
