Frank and Anne Reeves took the honours when the Seniors section of Fosseway Golf Club held its annual puttsomes competition recently.
The format is that the men play the shots to the green and leave the putting to the ladies. Their nett total was 35. Mary Case was top lady, with eighteen putts, followed by Edna Shearn and Helen White. Howard Nowell was the top man, with a nett total of sixteen.
Nowell was also in good form in the August medal competition, but this time he was beaten on countback. Each of the top three finished with nett totals of 66, but the back nine saw Barry Dugmore scoop the medal, with Nowell second and Henry Thomas, third.
