There was a close finish to the Turkey Trot in the Seniors’ section of Fosseway Golf Club with Mike Ricketts and Allen Cheney bringing home the meat with a nett score of 51. They beat off the challenge of Captain, John Appleton and Pat Cray, who came home with 52. Phil Moody and Bill Lester were third with 55.
Rain threatened the November Medal competition, but it went ahead and proved successful for Competition Secretary, Brian Phelps, who won the event with a nett 65. One shot behind was the in-form Ricketts with Lester, third, on 68. Malcolm Tucker
