The Seniors’ section of Fosseway Golf Club entertained Cannington Golf Club.

Led by Acting Captain for the day, Howard Nowell, the team won 5.5–0.5. Nowell and Seniors’ Secretary, Alan Jones, went out first and won their game 3&2. The most impressive performance came from Allen Cheney and John Bendle, who triumphed 5&3 with Bendle in devastating putting form. Mike Weeks and Graham Edgell and Mike Ricketts and Frank Reeves were 4&3 winners with Terry Button and Malcolm Tucker winning 2&1. Alan White and Cyril Blacker halved their encounter.

There were clear winners of the Fouracres Trophy with Pat Cray and Edgell coming home with a combined nett total of 131. Doug Lane and Geoff Hallett and Button and Tucker both totalled 137 with the former pair claiming second place on countback. M.Tucker
