The weather has been anything but kind for golfers in the Seniors section of Fosseway Golf Club, but seven brave souls battled against the rain and strong winds for the monthly Medal event.
Allen Cheney returned to action in style, winning the March competition with a nett score of 71. Cyril Blacker was second, with 73, and John Bendle, third, on 73.
Bendle also featured in the top three in the Colin Eaton 3 Club competition, but again, just failed to take the top prize. Noel Chatfield took the honours with a nett score of 63, John Waters was second on 65, and Bendle, third, on 66.
The Seniors section has recently been pleased to welcome an influx of new members who will hopefully take a full part in club competitions and social matches, which get underway with the visit of Folke on Tuesday, 26th March.
