THE Seniors section of Fosseway Golf Club paid a visit to Chippenham - and it proved a profitable one for organiser Paul Trigg.
Not only did he come first in the Stableford event with 38 points but he also won the prize for the longest drive. In second place came Allen Cheney with 37 points with Cyril Blacker a further point behind in third place. John Fuller was nearest the pin and Phil Winsley was the only player to achieve a two.
The Rod Bruce Scratch Trophy was won by Chris Appleton who returned an excellent gross score of 77. In the June medal Gerry Rowell won with a nett 64. Shaun Goodwin , Noel Chatfield and Alan White all recorded 66s but after countback Goodwin claimed second place with Chatfield third.
In the Captain’s Trophy Phil Winsley was the clear winner with a total of 41 Stableford points. Three points further back came Chris Champion with John Cooper third on 37.
