On Tuesday, 10th and Thursday, 12th April, Orchardleigh Ladies Section organised two rounds of competitions based upon the Solheim Cup Match play event.

24 Ladies formed the two opposing teams: Team USA and Team Europe. After play on the final day, the teams sat down to lunch together, followed by tea and cakes iced with the USA and Europe flags. For the third consecutive year, Team USA won again, with twelve points to Europe’s six.

There was also a raffle which raised £77.50 for this year’s club charities, Dorothy House and Fair Frome. Thanks go to all those who helped out, but especially to the Club Captain, Neil McGuiness, who kindly gifted bottles of wine for everyone.
