Sunday, 12th January saw us hold our Annual Presentation Evening for our Junior Section.
It was a great afternoon which celebrated a tremendous season for them all, with personal milestones, trophies and teamwork all being rewarded.
Jonathon Lawrence and Alex Todd commented on the hardwork, improvement and growth that each individual had made, with Jon Calway thanking John Russell, Sara Bannister, Martin Thatcher, Jackson Carey, Carl Dezis and Simon Wilkinson, along with all the parents that have helped out over the last year or more.
Jackson has been a fantastic Captain, and passes the baton on to Jake Russell, who Jackson and Farrington Park wish all the best for the coming year.
John Russell, Junior Organiser, commented: “Congratulations to Farrington Juniors on a very successful 2019, coming runners-up in the Somerset Junior League and beating The Players Golf Club 3–0 at Clevedon Golf Club to win the Bristol & District Knockout Cup.
“They also beat Long Ashton Golf Club, 3–2, at Lansdown Golf Club to become champions of the Bristol and District League.”
Jonathon Lawrence and Alex Todd also had a first with his whole Y.M.G Passing, with a distinction which is the first time this has ever happened at Farrington Park!
The future certainly looks bright, not only for Farrington Park but also Somerset Golf Union.
