The Seniors’ Medal saw some good scores, with the ball rolling in the dry conditions. The Division One winners were Terry Searle (nett-66), Trevor Cook (nett-68) and Richard Gould (nett-68).

The winners of Division Two were Richard Sheard (nett-69), Bernard Young (nett-71) and Barry Williams (nett-71). There were four two-spots from Nick Carter, Vic Rossiter, Richard Sheard, Paul Hole.

Wells travelled to Knowle for a mixed pairs friendly match. Although located in the centre of a residential area, Knowle can boast a beautiful, undulating parkland course with roaming fox and deer.

A competitive, but friendly match was enjoyed by all, with close matches for Kathy Lane/Andrew Boatswain, Cath Levell/Colin Mantle, Tina Davis/Barry Keys, Polly/ Andy Williams and Chris/ Mike Gee. Wells lost out on the day, with wins coming from Gill/Mike Magrath, Erica Klim/Stuart Mann and Katrina Foote/Chris Strickland.

The Ladies’ Alliance team played tough opposition from Clevedon, with Tina Davies winning her match and Jill Bocquet, Sue Hockey and Janice White halving theirs.
