The Ladies’ AGM celebrated the successes of the year and looked forward to the challenges of next year. Kathy Lane had enjoyed her year as Captain and thanked the committee, and indeed the whole section, for their support.

Katrina Foote will represent the club in the England Golf area finals next year after a steady performance this year and being one of the few to decrease their handicap.

The Ladies’ Chicken Chase Dallas Scramble competition was held in crisp, autumn conditions and the team taking full advantage to win were Glynis Slater, Jann Ambrosini and Kitty Usher. The runners-up were Phyl Lewison, Diane Ramsay and Barbara Harris with Sandy Heath, Linda Wright and Anne Coulton coming in third.

The social committee have some exciting plans for the New Year, but first we have the quiz on Friday, November 22nd. There’s still time to sign up your team and enjoy a sociable evening at the club.

Members and non-members are all welcome. The quiz starts at 7.30 prompt and there is a break for a delicious Yorkshire Pudding filled with beef for supper.
