The 4 Ball Bowmaker Stableford, in aid of Breast Cancer, included teams of a mixture of either Ladies, Mixed, or Men, with nineteen teams taking part.

Some players took a Mulligan on the first tee if they were not satisfied with their first drive, others just threw in a pound anyway. Many players wore various items of pink clothing, including the Club Captain, Dean Hamilton, who wore a pink wig.

The results were: Overall Winners: Chris Strickland, David Smith, Maureen Bailey and Jackie Cohen with ninety-four points.

Ladies Winners: Tina Davies, Katrina Foote, Erica Klim and Glynis Slater with eighty-one points.

Men’s Winners: Gary Nutt, Colin Mantle, Phil Leonard, and Clifford Hopkins with ninety-one points.

Mixed Winners: Steve Bocquet, Jill Bocquet, Peter Ramsay, and Diane Ramsay with eighty-four points.

This was the second year of running this event and the aim was to beat the total of £960 from last year. Along with entry fees, a raffle and an auction of hampers, a total of £1,233.38 was achieved for the Breast Cancer Charity. Tina Davies was thanked for her hard work in running the event. Janice White
