Edge Acrobatic Gymnastics Club based in Glastonbury have been recognised in the Community Club of the Year (less than 250 members) category, sponsored by Gymnova.

The British Gymnastics Awards recognise exceptional people and organisations that help keep gymnastics enjoyable, safe and open to everyone, making a positive contribution to individuals, local communities and wider society. And recognise British Gymnastics affiliated clubs that have not only excelled in promoting and developing gymnastics but have also made an outstanding contribution to their community, demonstrating a commitment to the long-term impact of the sport and delivering an uplifting experience for all.

A club spokesperson for Edge Acrobatic Gymnastics Club said: “It is such a privilege to nurture, coach and inspire so many children into the pathway of acro gymnastics.

“We are both so proud of our club and humbled by each gymnast that comes through our doors. This award is a true testament to the gymnasts and their families for helping us create such a wonderful safe space for all.”

From trailblazers and role models to those who tirelessly go above and beyond, the British Gymnastic Awards shine a spotlight on exceptional people and organisations that help keep gymnastics enjoyable, safe and open to everyone.

The awards will focus on those who have demonstrated a commitment to delivering an uplifting gymnastics experience. This year, the awards will also celebrate British Gymnastics Foundation’s awards, recognising those who are transforming lives through gymnastics.

Sarah Powell, British Gymnastics CEO, said: A strong theme throughout this year’s awards is the celebration of those who consistently go above and beyond to deliver inspiring gymnastics experiences, bringing to life our core values of being inclusive, supportive and aspirational.

The winners of the various categories will be announced in early February.
