DRAGONFLY Leisure Centre have announced they will be hosting a mini golf tournament in September.
Taking place on Sunday, September 7, the ‘Dynamite Adventure Golf Tournament’ will be available pros and amateurs alike, with prize money being available for those who perform well.
There will be two divisions competing on the day with the ‘professional’ division for those who are a part of the British Minigolf Association and a ‘novice division, with the winner of each getting rewarded with a £500 cash prize.
Second place in each division will earn £300 while third place wins £200. Prizes go down to £75 for fifth place in the professional league, while prizes for novices go down to tenth, earning £20.
All novice prize winners will also receive at least one golf ball, with first place receiving three balls and a mini golf putter alongside their £500 prize.
A cash prize of £50 will also be available for the top junior and top female player in the novice division.
While the tournament takes place on September 7, the mini golf course will be open for a practice day on Saturday September 6, which will be open from 9am to 6pm. It will cost £10 for full day access to this practice day.
Practice sessions will also be available at a discounted rate from 7pm to 9pm every weekday evening on the week of the tournament, which will be 50 per cent off standard admission.
Entry to the tournament is £30 for entrants aged 16 and older, while those aged from nine to 15 years old will need to pay a fee of £20.
Entry will allow every participant to have three rounds, with the final score being based on an aggregate score over the three rounds.
Participants can access the course from 8.15am, with the tournament starting at 9.30am sharp.
