A weekend of celebrations for Valentine's Day, in a pavilion decorated appropriately with red hearts and roses. On Saturday, 14th February, the club welcomed two groups of six people to a three-course meal, followed by entertainment. These meals were purchased at the Presentation Dinner in November, as part of the fundraising for Dorothy House.
On Monday evening, the male members of the club cooked and served a delicious meal for the ladies and guests, what a treat for the ladies – welcomed with a drink and a red rose and no cooking or washing up to do! On both these occasions, the entertainment was provided by Vince Gill, with a varied selection of songs.
Our winter is always full of such social activity, but the real purpose of the club, bowling, will start again in April, when we would like to welcome anyone interested in giving it a try. There will be a chance to do this, at no cost and with all equipment provided, on the Monday evenings of 13th and 20th April, at 6.15 p.m. The club is situated in the far corner of the Centurion Hotel car park and new or established bowlers are always welcome. If you would rather speak to someone first, the Club Secretary is Ray Soby, 01761 453218. See you soon?
