Old Bristolians Westbury skipper, James King, won the toss and elected to bat on a wicket which looked full of runs.

However, Bokang Mosena (1–25) struck early to dismiss Durrans and Martin Cox bowled a tight opening spell to ensure that the batsmen were under pressure. Leaver and Baker put together a partnership of 37 for the second wicket, which was broken by Sam Gould, as he produced an amazing delivery to bowl Baker, his first victim, in a superb spell of 5–17. Nick Pang (2–25) provided excellent support at the other end and there were no other stands in double figures, until Joyner (5) and Tavare (29 not out) put on 30 for the ninth wicket. Martin Cox returned to claim the wicket of Joyner and Nick Cox also picked up a wicket as the home side was dismissed for 113.

Norton's openers, Nick Cox (25) and Alex Lear (53 not out) showed the true nature of the pitch, as they raced to an opening stand of 59, before Cox was adjudged LBW. Martin Cox (25 not out) joined Lear and the target was reached in the twentieth over to complete an emphatic victory by nine wickets.
