Midsomer Norton RFC has been awarded the prestigious RFU Club Accreditation status, joining only a small handful of clubs in Somerset to have achieved the same accolade. To receive accreditation, Midsomer Norton RFC was assessed by the RFU and asked to provide evidence that it has appropriate management procedures in place for its facilities. The RFU found that the management and governance structure of the club is efficient and effective and that the club has active and strong links with the local community. Midsomer Norton RFC has met the core values of rugby, which are Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship. Chairman, Neil Denning, said: "The club is dependent on a small, but totally dedicated team of volunteers. Many take on more than one role and devote a considerable amount of time to provide a well organised and structured rugby experience. I would like to thank all of our volunteers, but especially the Coaches and Committee members of the junior section. "The club is proud to be a community club, serving Midsomer Norton. It provides four adult and eleven junior teams for local players of all ages and ability, with the vast majority of its senior players having risen through the ranks of the junior section.
