The new season has started with the AGM, when officers for the coming year are voted in.

Steve Cook has been chosen as Treasurer and Secretary, Joe Clapp as Chairman, Paul Humphreys as Captain of the Six Board and Dave Sherborne as Captain of the Four Board.

Several games of chess were played, but more practice is needed after the long summer break, ready for the new season of competitive matches. On Thursday, 10th October we will be playing against Trowbridge at home.

We meet every Thursday evening at Westfield Church Hall at 7.30 p.m. Everyone is welcome, including beginners. Why not call in for a friendly game and cup of coffee?
