The men however, away at Purnells in the MSL, could only win on one of their rinks in three tight and hard fought but well natured games. While on Saturday in the County League, away at the superb but hot venue of Alexandra Park, despite a spirited display by our side, we could only draw on one rink while losing on the other two in the good humoured matches.

Finally on Thursday evening the club, at the club house, hosted an evening tea for all those attending the unveiling of a memorial plaque at the Recreation Ground, to Graham Dix a well-known and much respected citizen of Paulton who had been involved in many aspects of the village over his life. A special thank you to all those members of the club who gave their time and effort preparing for the event, providing the food and ministering to the public, plus staffing the bar with particular credit to Sue Hancock for all the delicious cakes provided.

This week the ladies are away at Frome Park and the men are at home to Frome Selwood, the best of luck to all teams. AJ.Meaton
