Paulton run out comfortable winners despite brave effort from Bridgewater. Aaron Sainsbury in the Rovers goal was busy in the early stages but Dan Cottle, Chris Peck and Will Harvey were proven a thorn in the home side.

On the 3G pitch, play was fast and furious on a scorching hot day and Paulton took a twelve minute lead.

Richie had a goal disallowed for offside and Pablo Domingos saw a shot deflected for Rovers. It was two nil on the thirty seven minutes as a slick move started on the right by James Byrne found Tooze whose low cross was turned into the net by Harvey.

Two minutes later, Bridgewater were awarded a very soft penalty and James Taylor converted.

Rovers immediate response was to make it thirty one minutes later as Cottle Road several tackles and slid the ball through to Tooze who fired home.

With several changes and rolling subs in the second half it was Bridge who pulled the goal back in the forty eight minutes as Josh King met Chris Hartley‘s right wing cross to make it for two.

The home side were pressing and Sainsbury was called upon to make several good saves, however in the fifty six minutes, Bridgewater pulled a goal back and Tyrone Simpson’s cross was met by Hibbert who tucked the ball into the net.

Paulton kept the pressure up and Tooze held the ball up well in the sixty eighth minute to deliver a pass to Will Harvey who curled a lovely shot into the top corner of the net to make it fifty three.

In the latter stages, Harvey was coming in for some rough treatment but there was particularly good performances from Rovers youngsters Charlie Mclachlan and Tom Ovigbe.
