Paulton travelled to newly promoted Exmouth Town where a well drilled Exmouth defence ensured the home side took all three points against a Paulton side that never gave up.

Levi Landicombe had a shot saved by Rovers stopper Aaron Sainsbury but he was on hand after seven minutes to race onto Aaron Denny's through ball to score.

Paulton could have levelled on sixteen minute as Dan Cottle received a pass from Martin Lenihan and his low curling drive whistled narrowly past the post.

Callum Shepton miss hit a shot as he had another chance whilst in response Will Harvey drove wide.

In the forty fifth minute Exmouth got a second as Shipton laid the ball down the left for Landricombe to cross and Jordan Harris finished from close range.

Kyle Tooze header on the restart was diverted for a corner then Ed Butcher crossed for Dan Dempsey to head wide as Rovers pressed.

Exmouth skipper Dave Rowe headed on the top of the crossbar with Sainsbury beaten.

Tooze and Nuno Felix both had chances testing home keeper Rob Powell.

Sainsbury brought off a fine save in the seventy five minute from the lively Landicombe but Chris Peck had a header cleared off the Exmouth line.
