At 7 p.m. on Monday, 25th March, Prattens Bowls Club will be holding their Annual Pre-season Meeting at the Bowls Clubhouse.
This pre-season there has been more of the usual work and maintenance needed preparing for the new season, as the bowls equipment shed is in a bad state of repair and is having to be replaced.
This is not as simple as it sounds, because the shed is asbestos shielded and will have to be professionally dismantled and removed (at great expense).
Before this can be done, we need somewhere to put everything that is in the shed, so the members have been hard at work building an extension to the clubhouse, next to the machine store, to accommodate all of the bowls equipment.
Even with all of this free labour, this is an expensive item, so if anyone (or any organisation) wishes to make a donation to assist with this project, it will be very welcome.
