It was confirmed at the recent League AGM that Radstock Town will be plying its trade in the Toolstation Western League Division One next season. There were a number of rumours about Radstock Town getting a reprieve, due to other circumstances, however, this is not the case.

Last season may not have gone to plan and the club is extremely grateful to everyone who has stuck by us and continued to support us. With the leagues pretty much confirmed, it appears we will have around 100 miles less travelling to do. Last year, we were on the road for 649.5 miles and next season, we will only have to travel 553.06 miles, providing no new teams join the league. Another positive for the club will see a huge derby clash against neighbouring club, Welton Rovers FC.

After catching up with the Manager, this is what he had to say: "Next year will be a big year for the club on and off the field. On the field, we will look to bounce straight back up, but I would not be too disappointed with a top six finish, due to the rebuilding process which the club needs to go through and Division One is extremely competitive. I am looking to rebuild the side with local players willing to play with heart and play for Radstock Town with pride.

"I have been working hard off the field to make Radstock Town run as professionally as we can. This has started by bringing in coaching staff, Den and Jack, both whom I can trust on the sidelines whilst I am playing. I will also be looking for support from the Reserve Side and the (Bath City) Under-18s players to break into the First Team.

"Off the field, the club has been working extremely hard with all committee members and volunteers, trying to rebuild the club and establish it within the community and local businesses." http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/radstocktownafc&quot">http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/radstocktownafc">Radstock Town also has a new website, view it here
