On 24th July, Camerton and Peasedown Croquet Club had arranged to celebrate sixty years of life-saving research by British Heart Foundation (BHF) – but torrential rain forced its cancellation.
The club had already raised £165 to support BHF’s research and treatment of heart and circulatory disease and they did not want bad weather to get in the way.
So, on 12th September from 2 pm – 5 pm, the club invites everyone to come and try croquet, enjoy a cream tea; all to support the fantastic work carried out by BHF.
A warm welcome is guaranteed, enjoy a cream tea and have fun – a free introduction to croquet awaits, not forgetting ‘crazy croquet’ including Dukes of Hazzard and Tunnel of Doom!
“Our all-inclusive club is part of Peasedown St John Cricket Club and you can find us just off Whitebrook Lane, Peasedown St John, Bath BA2 8LD.
“Croquet is an outdoor sport for everyone – one with health benefits and where, after a short introduction, you can take part in a game”, said Chair, Mo Boys, “We look forward to seeing you all on September 12th.”
All equipment is provided – just wear flat-soled shoes. If you are interested in trying croquet, please phone Mo Boys on: 07929 733640 to arrange your own croquet experience.
