Battle of the Thirds sees Frome the favourites

Midsomer Norton Thirds travelled to Frome on Saturday for a Bath Combination Merit fixture.

Despite the loss, the new-look line-up had a really enjoyable day’s rugby, in a game played in good spirit by both sides. The hosts’ larger pack gave them the early advantage, and this allowed them to dominate the first period, which ultimately decided the result.

As the game wore on, though, some of Norton’s more exprienced players enterted the fray, so the game became a more even contest.
