The Men, also progressed to the next round of the ‘Turnbull Cup’ with a close win over Norwest. They’ll now play Bath in the quarter finals.

On the League scene, the Wednesday MSL ‘A’ team were victorious over Norwest, taking the game 10-2 but the ‘B’ team game against Paulton had to be cancelled, due to illness in the Paulton ranks.

On Saturday morning, and the ladies took on Keynsham again, this time in the Saturday league Keynsham took their revenge for defeat in the Fear cup, by winning comprehensively on all rinks.

In the Somerset county league, the ‘A’ team travelled to Willmott, park and lost on all rinks.

The ‘B’ team maintained their unbeaten run with an 11-1 win at home to Keynsham’ C,’ whilst the ‘C’ team lost out, also at home to Fosseway.

Having said that, our ‘C’ team continues to include new bowlers helping them to gain valuable experience with Colin and Gary playing their first games, well done .

My eight-year-old grandson had his first coaching session on Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Any youngsters wishing to try the sport, there is free coaching on Saturday mornings 10am to 12 noon at our club on Bristol road Paulton or ring Don on: 01761 471019 for more information.
