SWALLOW, the local charity supporting teenagers and adults with learning disabilities, is celebrating National Fitness Day this week by announcing their Zumbathon, which is taking place on Saturday, 16th October at the Hive Community Centre, Peasedown St John.
The event runs from 12 noon until 3 pm and people can take part for as long as they want.
The event is to raise money for SWALLOW’s vital work in the community, supporting their members to live independent and fulfilling lives.
The SWALLOW café at the Hive will be open for refreshments and there will be qualified Zumba teachers leading the sessions.
Charlotte Sayers, fundraising officer at SWALLOW, says: “Come along and have fun, get fit and raise some money for a very worthwhile cause”. Every participant will receive a special SWALLOW water bottle sponsored by Wessex Water to help you to keep hydrated!
