The competition took place over two days, Saturday 23rd, and Sunday, 24th July, in good weather conditions, not too hot and a fresh breeze both days.

The course is currently very dry, which gives a good run on the ball but makes for tricky play around the greens.

On the first day of play, Loes de Kleuver came in with the best gross score of eighty-seven, two shots ahead of Nicola Hawkes, on eighty-nine who was followed closely by Diana Bullock, on ninety.

However, in the second round Loes had an unlucky day, and Nicola brought in a gross ninety-six along with Diana, also on ninety-six.

Therefore, Nicola Hawkes won the Ladies’ Championship by one shot, with a total of one-hundred-and-eighty-five and Diana Bullock, was runner up with one-hundred-and-eighty-six. In third place, was Lorraine Collings, on one-hundred-and-eighty-seven. So it was a close competition.

The prize winners of the Ladies’ Club Championship are as follows: Ladies Champion (Harris Trophy) Nicola Hawkes (pictured below); Runner-up (Claret Jug) Diana Bullock; 3rd place (‘New’ Cup) Lorraine Collings. Second Division Gross Overall Winner (Louis Goblet) Lin Handley; Runner-up – Marion Underhill.
