Vogue Twirlers ended their season travelling to Torbay for the week-long NBTA national championships, returning with seventy top-six awards, including 21 first places, ten second places, and fifteen third places.

The troupe, who train in Weston-super-Mare, became National Champions in Junior Twirl Team, Military formation corp, Twirling corp and Pee Wee dance formation.

Not to be outdone, for the first time – and after only a handful of training sessions – the parents competed in the Parents Fun category under the alias of Rogue Twirlers, with their take on a Toy Story routine, scoring 39 out of 40, taking them to first place and National Champions.

On the final night of the competition, two members of Vogue Twirlers were awarded Perpetual awards: Charlotte Howard, from Peasedown St John, won the Ron Stiff shield for best Champion in the Military Strut section, and Ebony Taiwo won the Most Promising Beginner/Novice Dance Soloist.

Vogue Twirlers are always looking to raise funds that will go towards competition elements, such as competition entries, costumes, membership and equipment.
