A free six-week course for adults of all ages to explore, reignite and deepen connections to the living world and our relationship with it, and benefit from the support, health and wellbeing found in nature.
The course offers easy, gently paced practices to engage with nature and to learn more of its plants, animals, and the land around us through wilderness skills, creative activities, mindfulness, sharing inspirations and wandering in nature. The creative practice will include a variety of nature crafts using materials such as willow, charcoal, wool, and wood. You will be guided to be aware of the living world around us, and how it can support us. There will be a chance to check in where we will be able to share and hear from each other.
We try to accommodate and support people’s needs and conditions as much as possible and can talk to you beforehand about this. Also, there is no expectation to take part in all the activities and we welcome anyone who would like to come along and trial the course to start with if they prefer.
EcoWild ran two taster sessions for participants which were hugely enjoyed by everyone, one participant said, ‘it was an eye opener’ and would like to come again. Another participant said they were really happy to have been part of a small social group, spoke about things he enjoys and to have made something with his hands.
EcoWild are launching the first six-week wellbeing course on Thursday, 24th August and there are still spaces available for booking. If you are interested please book online at www.ecowild.org.uk/book-now or contact Emily by email at [email protected]
